Dear Sir:
Re: Acquisition of Property -
Gap Filler Radar Station, Tobermory Ontario
Your File: 26-10-7
Would you please refer to the correspondence exchanged between our offices concerning field surveys and soil tests carried out in connection with the Gap Filler Programme.
Our requirements in respect of the site to be constructed this year at Tobermory, Ontario, have now been determined and I am attaching four copies of Plan T52-1-1000-1, together with two copies of a list setting forth site particulars, which illustrate and describe the parcel of land on which our installation will be located in Lot 46, Concession 1 West of Bury road in the Township of St Edmunds, County of Bruce. The access road is to be located on a 66' wide easement within which we require the right to construct, maintain and repair a road and also to construct, maintain, repair and remove a power pole line. This easement extends from the proposed site a distance of approximately 220' to the Warner Bay Road.
I would be pleased if you would instruct your agent to obtain options from the owners, Angus S and Ernest H Ralph, RR #1, Tobermory, covering the parcel to be acquired outright and the easement area, together with permission for our contractor to go on the site pending completion of settlement.
Yours sincerely,
(EB Armstrong)
Deputy Minister
