The movement of 1 Air Division HQ from Paris to Metz has commenced and with the exception of the Deputy Chief Construction Engineering and Air Movements, the entire Divison will move, and become effective for operation on 13 April 1953.

1 Air Division HQ, previously located in Paris, have completed their move to Mercy-les-Metz. 1 Air Division Comm Flight, previously located at Orly Airport, Paris, arrived at Grostenquin for a period of two months pending their re-location at Frescaty Airport, USAF, Metz.
