  1. Many of us lived in caravans in Peltre at that time. They were cold, damp, and had no running water in the evenings. We all seemed to go to the local bar and make the best of it - December 1953.

    In 1953, the ME Section put on a bus and about 25 of us moved to Mondorf les Bains Luxembourg. We took over the Bristol Hotel, rooms, bar, and everything else. It was about a one and a half hour commute each way to the Chateau de Mercy and we lived there for almost a year. I returned to Mondorf in 1998 and met many of the local people who remembered their Canadian friends.
