Appendix "A":Details of Instruction

INFORMATION

It has been decided to rewrite all OrgOs and to renumber them in sequence by Commands.

INTENTION

To rewrite the OrgO for 2453 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary).

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order are to become effective 1 Jan 55.

Role

The role of this Sqn is to:

  1. Train auxiliary personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

  2. Maintain and operate radar and communications facilities as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The Officer appointed to command 2453 AC&W Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi) (a) (iii).

Control

Control of this Sqn is to be exercised by the AOC ADC through the Gp Cdr, 1 Gp (Aux), and the CO 11 WgHQ, (Aux)

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 EM 624 and 220 EM 624 are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting is to be arranged by the AOC ADC and these services are to be provided by 1 GpHQ (Aux) Admin Unit.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except pay and allowances and travel and transportation of Auxiliary personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

For purposes of QR (Air), art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30, this Sqn is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel is to be issued by 1 GpHQ (Aux) Admin Unit.

Accommodation and Messing

Accommodation and messing are to be arranged by the AOC ADC.
