The addition of the Diplex Gating Unit (DGU) turned the FPS-20 (Canadian version was the FPS-508) into the FPS-93. See the
FPS-20 page for additional detail. The FPS-93 was a search radar system which operated in the L band. It was developed by Raytheon and was used in a SAGE system. The FPS-93 was a modified AN/FPS-20.Locations:
