Major Croft and Capt. Buchanan of Royal Canadian Artillery arrived on this station to discuss exercise "Checkpoint". In a softball game between this station and St. Sauveur, RCAF was defeated by a score of 16-8.

18 Jun 54

Col. Hollander and 11 officers of USAF arrived from St. Albans, Vermont as guests at a dining-in night held on the station. Col. Hollander, as Guest of Honour, spoke on his experience as an observer at a test atomic bomb explosion.

19 Jun 54

S/L Parradeau and 3 pilots of 438 (Aux.) Squadron arrived on this station for familiarization.

20 Jun 54

S/L Bourke of 2401 (Aux.) Squadron arrived on a goodwill visit to this station.

22 Jun 54

A softball game was held on this station between St. Adolphe and the station team. RCAF defeated Morin Heights 14-11.

23 Jun 54

Officers were defeated by townsite personnel in a softball game, score townsite 13 – officers 9.

W/C Jackson and W/C McNair left on a visit to ADCHQ.

Captain Lawrence of Royal Canadian Artillery arrived on this station to discuss further Anti Aircraft Artillery training for Controllers.

S/L Yarnell arrived on a visit from ADCHQ.

In a softball game, held on this station, Officers were defeated by Sgts. by a score of 9-6.

At a mess meeting on this station, S/L Rogers was appointed PMC.

S/L Bayliss, W/C Mussels and 26 aircrew arrived from Training Command on a familiarization visit; these aircrew will act as Fakers during exercise "Checkpoint".

3 Jul 54

Reserve personnel from 2401 (Aux.) AC&WS arrived for summer camp. A bingo party and games nite was held in the Officers Mess to celebrate the occasion.

4 Jul 54

All station personnel were invited to a dance in the Recreation Hall sponsored by the Corporals Club.

6 Jul 54

W/C Gordon, S/L Bell-Irving and 7 officers acting as guides during exercise "Checkpoint" arrived on this station to discuss the briefing of visitors.

9 – 11 Jul 54

Exercise "Checkpoint". Many visitors were welcomed to this station. Representatives from the Canadian Army, Navy and all Commands of the RCAF were briefed and given a guided tour of the Operations building and townsite.

12 Jul 54

Stag night was held in the Officers Mess. Officers of the Royal Canadian Artillery and 2401 (Aux.) AC&WS were guests.

13 Jul 54

W/C Reid and 5 pilots of 402 F Squadron arrived on a familiarization and goodwill visit.

14 Jul 54

S/L Wells, ADCHQ Medical Officer and S/L Beckstead of No. 1 Group (Aux.) arrived on a visit to this station.

15 Jul 54

W/C Jackson on a visit to ADCHQ for debriefing of exercise "Checkpoint".

16 Jul 54

Officers of 2401 (Aux.) AC&WS sponsored a cocktail party in the Officers Mess. An open air dance to which all the station was invited was held after the cocktail party.

Station softball team defeated St. Sauveur in a game held in St. Sauveur.

23 Jul 54

S/L Mahoney and 3 officers of this station attended a stag night given by the officers of USAF Station, St. Albans, Vt.

F/O Jackson arrived to take up her duties as Nursing Sister on this station.

29 Jul 54

Col. Carey, USAF Liaison Officer arrived with Maj. Hanston, S/L Johnston and S/L Richards on a liaison visit.

30 Jul 54

W/C Lawler and 11 pilots of 423 (AW) Squadron arrived on a familiarization and goodwill visit. After a conducted tour of the Operations building, a softball games was held between the visiting officers and officers of this station. Buffet supper and refreshments were served in the evening.

3 Aug 54

The station softball team defeated Morin Heights in a game held at Morin Heights.

5 Aug 54

G/C Kirk, RAF and S/L Smith of AFHQ arrived on a familiarization and goodwill visit.

7 Aug 54

Six officers of 2401 (Aux.) AC&WS arrived on a weekend training visit.

11 Aug 54

S/L Middlemiss and 11 pilots of 1 OFU arrived on a familiarization and goodwill visit. After a tour of the Operations site, a party was held in the Officers Mess.

14 Aug 54

Men’s and Women’s softball teams defeated RCAF Station Foymount by a score of 6-2 and 20-7 respectively. These games were played at RCAF Station Foymount.

20 Aug 54

A Farewell dance for W/C and Mrs. Jackson was held in the Recreation Hall to which all the station personnel and local dignitaries were invited. Refreshments and a buffet supper were served.

28 Aug 54

A softball team arrived from RCAF Station Mont Apica, two games were played – Mont Apica winning one by a score of 15-11 and this station winning one by a score of 20-5.

31 Aug 54

G/C Austin, W/C Briese and W/C Sheffield arrived for a conference.

17 Sep 54

A station dance was held in the Recreation Hall to mark the completion of trade advancement.

29 Sep 54

A Farewell party was held in the Officers Mess for F/O Clouthier who was transferred to Mont Apica.

30 Sep 54

The Corporals Club sponsored a dance in the Rec. Hall to which all the station was invited. Refreshments were served.

1 Oct 54

The Station Ladies Auxiliary held a successful bake sale and tea in the Recreation Hall.

11 Oct 54

W/C JD Mitchner DFC CD assumed command of this station.

12 Oct 54

An amateur night was held in the Rec. Hall with personnel from all sections participating in the entertainment.

15 Oct 54

A volleyball game was held between the Officers and Sgts. of this station.

18 Oct 54

P/O Elliott arrived on the station to take up her duties as Assistant Adjutant.

Station mixed bowling league, with team representatives from various station sections started its fall schedule.

30 Oct 54

A Halloween dance was held in the Officers Mess. A station dance was held in the Rec. Hall. Costumes were in order and prizes awarded for originality.

1 Nov 54

A children’s Halloween party was held in the Rec. Hall to which all dependents were invited. Prizes were awarded and a light supper was served. F/L Boyczuk was transferred in to this station.

4 Nov 54

The tri service Hockey League commenced its 1954-55 schedule. In the first game a team from the Royal Canadian Navy defeated Lac St. Denis. The game was played in St. Jerome, Que.

5 Nov 54

Tri-service basketball league, of which this station is a member, commenced its 1-54-55 schedule.

7 Nov 54

Remembrance Day memorial services were held in St. Agathe and Morin Heights. Two flights of RCAF personnel took part in a parade and march past in St. Agathe, and 2 flights in Morin Heights, for a parade and dedication.

16 Nov 54

F/O Brackett arrived to take up his duties as a Fighter Controller on this station.
