1956 - The Infamous "Blood Chit" - Ken Johnson

This is a copy of what we called a "blood chit" which was issued to pilots at the gunnery camp at Rabat, Morocco in case they had to bail out over predominantly Arab territory. It was supposed to encourage the locals to help us get back to civilization. What particularly amuses me are the references to the British Government - these, as you know, were the days before Pierre Trudeau's repatriation of our constitution when Canadians were considered to be British Subjects.
