F/L N Bracher, Chaplain (P), proceeded on TD to Air Division to brief G/C LR Randall, SPSO, on the operation and problems in the unit school.

4 Jan 54

Mr. P Scargell, civilian teacher for unit school as well as Mrs. G Lowes were employed as teachers.

8 Feb 54

S/L E Smith, AFHQ/AUC, Spec/Educ on TD at Air Division visited the unit and discussed school matters with the CO and S/L JN Bracher.

9 Feb 54

S/L JN Bracher, Chairman of School Committee and S/L A Smith, AFHQ/AUC/SDL, who is visiting all Wings of Air Division on school matters conferred with the CO and discussed the school situation fully. A meeting is being held for the parents of the school children at which S/L Smith will outline the plans and policy that are going to be placed into effect

A meeting was held in the Little Theatre at which S/L A Smith, AFHQ/AUC/SDL addressed the parents of children attending the unit school on education matters. A large attendance was present, the meeting being presided over by S/L JN Bracher, Chairman of the Unit School Committee.

17 Aug 54

Visitors to the unit from Air Division were Mr. AC Ritter, Superintendent of Service Schools in France and Germany.

27 Aug 54

A group of 17 school teachers arrived from Canada. They were met by F/O E Cox who acted as their conducting officer, usual reporting in formalities accommodation and welcome address by CO.

28 Aug 54

H Lows of DNHQ, Mr. AC Ritter, Supt of Dependents' School and F/L AB Crabbe AFHQ visited the unit and conferred with W/C AWC Tustin, CAdO, met and conferred with the newly arrived school teachers and later departed by road for 4 (F) Wing.

Mr. Ritter, the Superintendent of Education, visited us to inspect the school.
