The Air Division Band Competition was held at 2 Fighter Wing with bands from 3, 4, 2 Wing and Support Unit Metz participating. A/V/M Wray presented the winning trophy to Sgt Ron Saunders the Band Master of the 2 Fighter Wing Band (the winning band).

G/C RE MacBride, Commanding Officer of 2 (F) Wing and W/C RB Murray, COpsO, attended memorial ceremonies at Burgen-ap-Zoom Holland for Canadian Servicemen who lost their lives in the 1st and 2nd World Wars. Rev Sneyd representative of the Canadian Council of Churches visited and toured the facilities at 2 Wing.
