During 1954, at 2 Wing, a Capitaine de l'Armee de l'Air, Capitaine de la Malglaive and his assistance, Sgt. Deker, and a (gofer) French airman were acting as liaison officer with the CO, 2 Wing on Air Force matters.
As for police matters, we had one chief Gendarme (Marechal des Logis Chef) and two gendarmes (marechal des Logis) posted and attached to our Police Force. Their your of duty was three months except that the Chef was not transferred at the same time as the two gendarmes. The Chef and his two men were honorary members of the Sr NCOs Mess.
