"Ma Hemering" - The Rest of the Story

There has been a distinctive lack of detail on our web site. What ever happened to "Ma"? What ever happened to the pub? I have often marvelled at how awesome the Internet really is, but it was not until I received an email message from one of "Ma's" granddaughters (Pascale Coulin)that I decided it was time to pay our respects.

As is the case with many projects, there was a hurdle. Pascale spoke French with little to no English, and I, well I had not used my French since I departed France in 1965. A minor hurdle - as I immediately contacted some French speaking Canadians who were at Grostenquin in the early days. They were eventually able to gather up-to-the-minute detail from Pascale - and we owe a special thank you to Lucien St. Hilaire, Gaston Migneault, Jacques Nadeau and Maurice-Andre "Johnny" Vigneault.

If you have any positive comments - please send an email message to the airmen that worked on "our behalf".
