The main building at the 601 Squadron site was a non-permanent structure, more like a lean to which interconnected three radio vans and one office van. In the main building was a work area, a washroom and limited kitchen facilities with a site admin area. The main buiding was located approxiametely 20 feet inside from the gate parallel to the MP's Shack, that was three feet from the perimeter fence to the compound. This area encompassed - three radio vans, one office or gutted radio van, two Deutz or Onan power plants with one complete tower mast and microwave six foot dish on the back, also a fuel bowser or barrels of fuel and lubricant. The sites off base perimenter fence followed the road to Verdun with the (Arab shack) just opposite the compound - maybe 200 feet or so.
