The 601 site was located behind the AFP shack. To get to it you went in the AFP yard and continued past the AFP shack. The site consisted of a permanent concrete block building about 30 feet long by about 16 feet wide. It was one storey with the floor being high off the ground to the level of the floor of the back section of the "K" vehicles. If I remember correctly there were three vehicles backed up to the building - one at the back facing Damvilliers. It was used as an office for FS Barefoot and Cpl Gale. There were two trucks containing the radio/multiplexing gear backed up to the building on the side facing the the highway (Arab Shack). On the side facing up into the AFP yard there was a generator truck. The site was overshadowed by the 150 foot trilon mast that carried the big 6 foot dish antennas.
