June 1956
Summary of Operations - Wing Training Flight.
During the month of June the flight flew a total of 59 IF practice trips with the squadron pilots, and five IF test rides. On the 15 Jun we lost our C-45, it was flown to Langar and left there to be prepared for its return to Canada. Our T-33s were utilized by the squadrons for the three unit check-outs of new pilots to the wing. The rest of the months flying was comprised of communication and ferrying trips. A Random arrived 30 Jun with new Mk VIs for 439 (F) Sqn. Wtih them was a new T-33 for us (21503). The Mk V simulator has packed up so there was no simulator time for the month.

August 1956
Summary of Operations - Wing Training Flight.
Flying this month was curtailed for several reasons. T-33 serviceability was low, the squadrons were short of pilots with quite a number on leave, and on TD. Our own pilots also spent a lot of time on TD this month
G/C Williams while enroute to Rabat had an electrical failure in 077 and had to force land at Gibraltar, he got on the runway safe enough but due to the fact that he had no radio, Gibraltor tower wasn't expecting him. There were vehicles crossing the runway and the result was a "B" category crash.
