441 Squadron was the second RCAF squadron to be assigned to 1 Wing North Luffenham. Their F-86 Sabre aircraft were transported from Canada to England on the HMCS Magnificent in November 1951, while the pilots and groundcrew set sail aboard the Empress of France on February 13, 1952.
