These "Armourers" are either removing or installing the Glen-Martin ejection seats, which in those days was their responsibility because of the explosive charges in the ejection system. Later this task was reassigned to the Safety Systems trade. Also note the scredriver in the belt of the tech. Every quick removable panel on the F-86 was locked into place with "dzeus fasteners" and the techs on the line always had their drivers handy.
